Raghupathi Bhat

Raghupathi Bhat (1957) was born in a village near Udupi to Late Anantaramabhat and Krishnaveniamma.He grew up in the precincts of the temple city where is father was a priest and went to school at Nagamangala and joined chitrakalaparishad ,Bangalore where he learnt traditional Mysore painting under founder Secretary , the legendary Prof.M.S.NanjundaRao .

Raghupathi Bhat’s only daughter Vidya Bhat,MVA is also an Artist .she is a gold medalist in B.F.A and has won Kamaladevichatopadyaya Vishwakarma Award in 2011.She is continuing her father’s art .
